The Partnership Verkiezing is an initiative of The Punchy Pack, the Ministry of Foreign affairs and FMO. Creating impact is the goal of this program in which young professionals from various organizations develop sustainable businesscases within their companies. The final event takes place on April 12, where one team is awarded with the price for the ‘Best New Partnership’.

FMO – Solar panels for refugee camps:

Team FMO is working on renewable energy solutions for refugee camps and their host communities. Their business case turns the presence of a refugee camp into anopportunity for regional development instead of a threat. By leading a convoy of (financing) partners towards investing in renewable energy, and moving away from a donation-based only situation, they create a sustainable business case for the long-term. Additionally, they develop a vocational training program for both refugees and local community members in installing, maintaining and operating the renewable energy solution themselves.
