The Partnerschip Verkiezing is an initiative of The Punchy Pack and the Rotterdam School of Management. With this programme we activate the voices of young leaders everywhere to become a part of the solution.

These heroes have taken on the challenge to develop a social and sustainable business case for their organisation, proving that it is possible to create positive impact with a business perspective from within a corporate organisation. They have succeeded by working together with their executives and colleagues, with experts, artists, entrepreneurs, NGOs, government and fellow wavemakers.

Our solution is an anonymized hiring and selection tool developed by Harver that should give every applicant, that applies for a job at one of our 1000 Albert Heijn stores, equal opportunities. Applicants will be selected based on their score which matches one of the store roles, rather than on their personal details or resume. This method prevents the possibility to reject applicants based on their personalia or appearances. It will help our hiring managers to eliminate unconscious bias and make sure they hire the best people.

Working at Albert Heijn is one the most important (side) jobs in the Netherlands. Even more, for many young people it is their first step on the job market. Using this tool, you will be able to select and hire individuals that are most suited for the job, which increases retention, decreases costs and will eventually increase revenue.

Which impact do we want to create?
A more diverse and inclusive world starts with providing everybody equal chances. Your personal details, including race, nationality, gender and appearances, should never be the factors in question whether someone is suited for the job. Furthermore, with this solution we wish to permanently prevent possible discrimination on the job market.
