The Partnerschip Verkiezing is an initiative of The Punchy Pack and the Rotterdam School of Management. With this programme we activate the voices of young leaders everywhere to become a part of the solution.

These heroes have taken on the challenge to develop a social and sustainable business case for their organisation, proving that it is possible to create positive impact with a business perspective from within a corporate organisation. They have succeeded by working together with their executives and colleagues, with experts, artists, entrepreneurs, NGOs, government and fellow wavemakers.

Team PwC – The Inclusion Experience

Our business case focuses on inclusion and diversity (I&D) in the workplace. With our case we aim to stimulate empathy of individual employees, by emerging them into an adventurous Virtual Reality (VR) environment. Here they will learn about the struggles of co-workers with different backgrounds that have led to them not feeling included in the workplace.

With this, we increase empathy for other people’s situations, hereby creating the potential to spark conversations and foster inclusive behaviour. Our case is based on principles that increase empathy on the one hand and real-life issues that diverse groups may encounter on the other hand, such as language barriers, handicaps, etc. Experts mention empathy to be fundamental for inclusive behaviour. VR allows users to truly experience what it is like to step into someone else’s shoes. Leveraging this VR capability, our solution will impact inclusivity on the work floor by enabling everyone to be themselves and fully deploy their talents.

With our solution we contribute to equal treatment of diverse groups and all individuals!
